Heaven and Earth (Ashland)
Mythology becomes an exploration of the duality of earthly fascination and heavenly aspiration. The labyrinthine geometry of the fountain contrasts with the Greco-Roman fountain imagery, in a wry juxtaposition of Western ideals of male perfection and female earth spirituality. Painting inspired by the Butler-Perozzi Fountain in Ashland, Oregon.
