“The subject was Mod Podge” explores the first generation Taiwanese immigrant experience as conditioned by World War II, martial law in Taiwan, and the building of a modern democracy in Taiwan. Original paintings backdrop this meditation on the psychological layers of American civic spirit and Taiwanese ancestry.
