whale paintings

My recent paintings reflect on transients and the transitory, from sinuous forms evoking evanescent nature to orcas whose habitat in the Puget Sound degrades along with their numbers.

These paintings reflect on a wistfulness for the inherent democracy and unburdened transience of the wild and the contrived hubris of impermanence, while infusing Pacific Northwest landscapes with fantastic color and whimsy.

These paintings are acrylic on canvas and range in size from 24 x 30 inches to 8 x 8 inches.
